Joanne Whalley stars as Claudia in NBC's "A.D. The Bible Continues."
Whalley's film credits include the Ron Howard-directed fantasy adventure "Willow" and the award-winning film "Pink Floyd The Wall." She starred opposite Bill Murray and Peter Gallagher in "The Man Who Knew Too Little" and Charlie Sheen in "Navy Seals." Whalley is best known for her role as Christine Keeler in the 1989 film "Scandal."
In addition to her work on the big screen, Whalley is also noted for her role as Scarlett O'Hara in the "Gone with the Wind" TV sequel, "Scarlett." She has also been seen in the BBC series "Wolf Hall," the Showtime series "The Borgias" and ABC's "Gossip Girl."
Her most popular theater production is "The Three Sisters," for which her performance as Masha earned her a nomination for a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in 1989. Whalley was also nominated for a British Academy Television Award for Best Actress in 1989 for her role as Emma Craven in the "Edge of Darkness" TV miniseries.
