PHILIP BOWEN
- Hometown: West Virginia
Bio
At 4 years old in the hills of West Virginia, Philip Bowen watched an episode of “Sesame Street” and was inspired by world-famous violinist Itzhak Perlman to begin a lifelong journey of performing and making music. Philip caught the attention of artists such as Brandon Davis, Noah Kahan and Charles Wesley Godwin, earning him more than 100 credits as a session fiddle player and songwriter. After proving that it’s never too late to chase a dream, Philip brought the judges and audience to their feet with a standing ovation after his energetic rendition of “Chop Suey” on the fiddle. His Appalachian roots and unique style shine through in his playing, and his social media audience has grown to over 1.5 million followers, allowing him to independently release his own music, perform on stages across the country and bring joy to audiences around the world. Despite his success, Philip made his biggest dream come true by performing on the “America’s Got Talent” stage, receiving validation from the judges and seeing the crowd go wild.
