RICHARD GOODALL

  • Hometown: Indianapolis, Indiana

Bio

Richard Goodall, affectionately known as the Singing Janitor, stole America's hearts with his inspiring rendition of "Don't Stop Believin'," earning him a coveted Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and raised in Terre Haute since the age of 5, he embodies the fulfillment of a dream as he finally pursues his lifelong passion of singing on "AGT." From performing for the students at the middle school where he works to performing at church and with a band, singing has always been a constant. As a performer, he considers himself raw, unpolished and down to earth, distinguishing himself through his genuine connection to music. He believes television chooses you, rather than the other way around. Winning would alleviate financial concerns, but his true victory lies in touching people's lives through his music, motivating him to give it his all.
