Ashleigh LaThrop plays Dr. Ericka Kinney on the new NBC drama “Brilliant Minds.”

A native of Chicago, LaThrop’s formal training has deep roots in the storied stages of Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater and Steep Theatre. Her work garnered her two Jeff Award nominations for her roles in “Balm in Gilead” and “Motortown.”

Transitioning into television, LaThrop has co-starred on “The Kominsky Method,” for which she received a SAG Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Utopia,” “NCIS: Hawai'i,” “The 100” and “Nancy Drew.”

On the film side, she has appeared in “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed.”

LaThrop enjoys traveling abroad, dancing and attempting to learn new languages.
