Alex MacNicoll plays Dr. Van Markus on the new NBC drama “Brilliant Minds.”

MacNicoll is best known for playing Jay Duplass' character’s long-lost son in the award-winning Amazon series “Transparent.” Other TV credits include “Barry,” “The Society” and “13 Reasons Why.”

On the film side, MacNicoll’s resume includes “Unpregnant,” “No Man’s Land,” “Heart of Champions,” “Vice,” “Valley Girl” and “The 5th Wave.”

Upcoming projects include “The Only Way Out Is Through.”
