Abigail Spencer plays Julia in the new NBC comedy "Extended Family." 

Spencer has long been known for her 20-plus years in television, stage and film. Highlights include "Rectify," "Mad Men," "True Detective," "Oz the Great and Powerful," "Cowboys & Aliens," "Chasing Mavericks," "This Is Where I Leave You," "Reprisal," "Wayne" and fan favorites "Suits," "Timeless," "Grey's Anatomy" and "How I Met Your Mother."

Behind the scenes, she's been writing, developing and quietly building her and Duke Johnson's Innerlight Films banner, producing award-winning shorts "Here and Now" and the Oscar shortlisted "Winter Light." "The Actor," adapted from Donald Westlake's "Memory," marks their first full-length feature as producers. Spencer recently launched her pandemic pivot, a florista and hospitality brand called County Line Florals, in loving memory of her late champion surfing father, Yancy Spencer III.
