Keyboard player Eli Janney, who also does vocals and plays bass, led the indie rock band Girls Against Boys. Lead guitarist Seth Jabour and bass player Syd Butler were both members of Les Savy Fav, a NYC based indie rock band who performed one of their own songs on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.” The 8G Band is led and curated by fellow “Saturday Night Live” alum Fred Armisen. Armisen is a multi-instrumentalist who played drums for the punk band Trenchmouth and background drums for Chicago's edition of the Blue Man Group in the mid-'90s.
