Maura Tierney joins the cast as Lieutenant Jessica Brady for the 24th season of the hit NBC drama "Law & Order."

Tierney's work on the critically acclaimed Showtime series "The Affair" won her a Golden Globe and earned both Emmy and Critics Choice Television Award nominations. Previous television credits also include her Emmy-nominated role on NBC's "ER," Showtime's "Your Honor" with Bryan Cranston, "Rescue Me," opposite Dennis Leary, and the critically acclaimed NBC series "NewsRadio." She can also be seen in Amazon Prime's "American Rust," opposite Emmy Award winner Jeff Daniels, which recently returned for its second season.

She co-starred in the hit film "Twisters" and recently won the National Board of Review's Best Ensemble honor for A24's biopic "The Iron Claw," along with Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White and Lily James.

Film credits include "The Report," opposite Adam Driver and Annette Bening, "Beautiful Boy," opposite Steve Carell and Timothée Chalamet, and "Anything," opposite John Carroll Lynch and Matt Bomer. Earlier credits include "Liar Liar," "Semi-Pro," "Insomnia," "Primal Fear" and "Primary Colors."
