America’s Got Talent received two special nominations for the 2022 People’s Choice Awards! The reality competition series is nominated for Best Competition Show of 2022. And that's not surprising, considering the show this season was filled with an abundance of mind-blowing performers.

We saw Season 17 unfold with some immensely talented singers, comedians, dancers, and more. The female dance group The Mayyas took home first place, winning the million-dollar prize and a headlining spot in AGT's Las Vegas residency. The group has also been nominated for Best Competition Contestant of 2022 at the People’s Choice Awards.

The Mayyas blew America away from day one, winning a Golden Buzzer from Sofia Vergara during their Audition. Judge Howie Madel said the group’s performance “shook him to his core” during the Live Shows, with Simon Cowell adding that their Act was a “performance that changes the world.”
