See Why Simon Cowell Says Dustin Tavella's All-Stars Set Is His Best-Ever on AGT
"You're very believable," Cowell told the magician.
America’s Got Talent Season 16 winner Dustin Tavella is back and better than ever! During his performance on America’s Got Talent: All-Stars, he blew the Judges away with his expert magic and inspirational stories.
Not only did he make a coin disappear from Heidi Klum’s hand after bringing her onstage, he gave a motivational speech to the audience about why everyone matters before mysteriously stepping through a poster.
The Judges were more than impressed. “You are unique, and you’re very believable, I would argue that you’ve come over better than you did when you won the show. I do,” Simon Cowell gushed.
“I mean…wow. You’ve done it again, you really have. I mean, every time when you come, you serve. You really do. I mean, that was like another genius, perfect performance,” Klum said.
“There’s been a movement of magicians who not only are doing magic and dazzling us and entertaining us, but they also inspire and motivate. And you do that beautifully in these very relatable stories. You deserve the win that you had on AGT, you deserve to be here at All-Stars, and we can’t thank you enough for this performance,” Howie Mandel added.
America’s Got Talent: All-Stars features 60 Contestants from the Got Talent franchise competing for the ultimate title. It premiered on Monday, January 2, 2023. Cowell himself talked about his anticipation for the show in an interview with People in November 2022.
"It was terrific, and it was really fascinating to see people who've competed on the American show and done really well, competing with people who won the show in other countries," he explained. "The dynamic was fascinating... and what really was great and cool about the show was that so many people decided to come back and compete."
"From where we've started to where we are now, the quality of the Acts is, at times, honestly breathtaking, and just to see how they've progressed. I think they're very inspirational. And I think everyone needs that right now. We've met the most incredible people along the way and that's a big reason of why I love doing this show. That is what keeps me on the show. I love that part of it. I love that first Audition when you see someone's true talent and you go, 'Yeah, this is a moment,'" he added.
