Blake Shelton is always doing something interesting, like celebrating the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th birthday, singing adorable duets with his wife Gwen Stefani, or cooking up something bold and delicious for the holidays, like the “Timpano Dome,” which he described as “almost like a lasagna but it’s baked inside of a dough.”

How to Watch

Watch Opry 100: A Live Celebration on NBC and Peacock.

"Never say no to any kind of food. Whatever you want to try, I'll try it. Just bring it on,” Shelton once told “People” about his cooking philosophy.

Shelton is currently on the road for his Friends & Heroes tour. With such a fun, laid-back attitude toward food, we can’t help but wonder what he’s munching on. “Country Living Magazine” had the chance to talk to him after the wind-down of the inaugural 2019 “Friends & Heroes” tour and asked the burning question: what’s his go-to snack when traveling the country?

First and foremost, we should mention that Shelton doesn’t throw any shade on old-school snacks. His three-ingredient cheese dip couldn’t be easier to make and became a sleeper hit with fans after he shared the recipe with “Country Living.” It’s true Velveeta is not technically a “cheese,” but fans are quick to give him a pass because it’s so darn good.

What is Blake Shelton’s favorite snack on tour?

The Voice alum admitted he has a soft spot for another orange-hued food, revealing the guilty pleasure he always keeps stocked and ready on the tour bus: "Cheetos are my number one snack on the bus. I decided years ago that Cheetos can't be that bad for you, because they're basically orange air," he joked.

TV and country music has only been part of the superstar’s career. Shelton also runs multiple Ole Red restaurants and is known for his comfort food recipes and Southern-inspired menu. Oh, and he also runs a working ranch in Oklahoma. That said, Shelton does not put any cheffy touches on Cheetos when he’s on the road, as far as we know. As fun as it is to play around with the cult favorite, sprinkling them on corn dogs, mac n’ cheese, and even ice cream, Shelton eats them straight up from the bag, the way nature intended.

After retiring from The Voice as a Coach following 23 seasons and wrapping up Season 2 of the USA Network game show competition Barmaggedon, the country crooner has not slowed down one iota.

Shelton hosted Opry 100: A Live Celebration, where he was joined by country music's biggest stars to pay tribute to Nashville's Grand Ole Opry iconic history. The special can be streamed now on Peacock.

He's also currently gracing stages around the country with several of his talented pals for the 2025 “Friends & Heroes” tour, a celebration of country music. He shares the spotlight with icons of the genre like songstress Deana Carter, Trace Adkins, and “Almost Home” singer Craig Morgan. The tour will also introduce audiences to up-and-comer Emily Ann Roberts, a finalist on The Voice in Season 9. Do all these musical greats — with multiple hits and Grammy nominations among them — also rip into Cheetos bags with Shelton? We’re not sure, but there’s something super charming about the idea.
