Boston Rob Is Still Adjusting to Being the "Hot" Dad: "It's Kind of Weird"
"Boston Rob" Mariano cites streaming services and his role on The Traitors for why he's being introduced to a new generation.

Boston Rob Mariano is no stranger to reality television, but it sounds like he’s still navigating the waters of being a girl dad to his four daughters.
Boston Rob can credit a handful of competition shows for his being such a household name, from Survivor and The Amazing Race to NBC's Deal or No Deal Island and Peacock's The Traitors. But at home, his and Amber Brkich’s four daughters — Lucia Rose, 15; Carina Rose, 14; Isabetta Rose, 12; and Adelina Rose, 9 — are less than thrilled with his notoriety as they grow into their teen years.

Boston Rob said as much on Friday, April 11, 2025, while attending NBCU’s Emmy Kick-Off Luncheon in Los Angeles, where he spoke to People about getting a little unwanted attention from his daughters’ friends — and it’s absolutely adorable.
Boston Rob's daughters' friends find him "hot"
Speaking of the younger generation who follow the veteran TV star, Boston Rob said his girls are “hating it.”
“Because all of a sudden, their friends are like, ‘Oh, my God,’” Boston Rob continued. “They don’t like the attention. It’s a lot.”
On the other hand, the iconic Season 3 Traitor — whose legendary cloak-and-dagger techniques can be seen right now on Peacock — said he found the new attention “so fun.”
"I think just a combination of Traitors brought a lot of attention to a different generation, and with the onset of streaming, people can go back and watch the old episodes,” he said. “They don't have to find a DVD or a VHS tape anymore, so it's cool to just be introduced to a whole other generation."
Still, it wasn’t the easiest to catch the attention of his daughters' friends.
"It's kind of weird for a teenage girl to be like, 'Dad, my friends think you're hot.' You know what I mean?"
Boston Rob thanks reality TV for his family
Boston Rob met his future wife, Amber, when both appeared on Survivor. They later exchanged vows in 2005 during a special televised event, Rob & Amber Get Married, before welcoming Lucia, Carina, Isabetta, and Adelina, each carbon copies of their mother.
"It's just so crazy. Everything I have in my life is because of these shows — meeting my wife, my family, everything," Rob said. "We'll celebrate 20 years next week."
When not dominating the world of unscripted television, Boston Rob is all about his family.
“We spend a lot of time together as a family. We spend so much time together because we want to,” he told the First Class Fatherhood podcast in January. “I think that family aspect is the most important part of what I’m teaching my kids. I always tell them, 'No one is going to be there for you like your family is.'”
It’s clear that the leading ladies in Boston Rob’s life have his back in return, as seen in a March 26, 2025, Instagram post. In the sweet photo, all four daughters held a hand-drawn sign reading “Welcome Home Daddy” once Boston Rob returned to the airport following a coast-to-coast trip.
He called it “The best feeling in the world.”
