Watch Boston Rob Enter the Serpents' Nest to Battle Snakes on Deal or No Deal Island
“If there’s literally one thing I cannot stand, it’s snakes. I just hate ‘em!” Boston Rob revealed in a clip from the next episode.
As a veteran of multiple seasons of Survivor, Boston Rob has an advantage over the other contestants on Deal or No Deal Island. He’s got experience with the sort of alliance-making and backstabbing dynamics that are a big part of the new NBC series’ gameplay, and he is no stranger to roughing it in the elements of a tropical island. But, Boston Rob has a weakness.
To quote Indiana Jones, “Snakes. Why’d it have to be snakes?”
In a clip from the upcoming sixth episode of the show, the remaining contestants rush to complete their latest challenge, retrieving their objectives from inside boxes that are filled with snakes. Although the snakes are not venomous, they bite — and they are not thrilled to have a bunch of people digging through their slithery abode.
“Looks like you met some of The Banker’s friends,” taunts host Joe Manganiello. “You’ve been so concerned with snakes in the group, The Banker thought it might help you focus a little by pulling some real snakes into the game.”

Boston Rob, who — as the most accomplished reality show contestant of the group — understands that there’s a target on his back, explains that he really wants to make sure he wins immunity for himself. So, he wastes no time sticking his arm into the serpents’ nest, even though, as he reveals, he hates them.
“If there’s literally one thing I cannot stand, it’s snakes. I just hate ‘em!” Boston Rob says in a confessional. “I don’t have a reason why. They’re just not for me.”
