After years of will-they-won't-they, Brett and Casey finally got their happily ever after.
Read on to learn everything about Brett and Casey's big day.
When did Sylvie Brett and Matthew Casey get engaged?
After several seasons of dating, Casey moved to Portland in Season 10 of Chicago Fire, which led to a rocky long-distance relationship with Brett. The hassle and distance led to a disheartening Season 11 breakup — but the split didn't last long.
In the Season 11 finale of Chicago Fire ("Red Waterfall"), Casey visited Chicago to ask Brett a very important question. Arriving on Brett's doorstep (the first place the couple kissed), Casey got down on one knee and popped the question.
Brett's answer — yes — was revealed in the first episode of Season 12 ("Barely Gone").

Brett was happy to inform her colleagues that the wedding would be small, an invite list comprised of family and CFD loved ones. Better yet, Brett and Casey's wedding would be in Chicago, meaning Casey would be making a return to 51.
Who was in Sylvie Brett and Matthew Casey's wedding party on Chicago Fire?
Brett chose her partner, Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith), to be her maid of honor. Naturally, this led the perfectionist Violet to bend over backward to make sure Brett's big day was extra special.
Having already planned and celebrated her own wedding, Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) was also a cherished counsel during the wedding planning and had a blast with Brett and Violet during the uproarious bachelorette party she helped coordinate.
As for Casey's best man, Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) showed up for Casey in the same way Casey showed up for him on his big day.
Chief Wallace Boden (Eammon Walker) officiated the ceremony.
Where did Sylvie Brett and Matt Casey get married on Chicago Fire?
Brett thought about various wedding venues and ultimately selected Chicago's Shedd Aquarium after learning that Squad 3's Tony (Anthony Ferraris) had a friend who worked there. Tony agreed to get them the spot, but having simply heard about "the aquarium" from his 51 colleagues, Tony made a not-so-slight error.
After Tony volunteered to help Brett tour of the venue, the bride-to-be was shocked to drive up to a commercial fish store, packed to the brim with humming aquariums. Not exactly the best romantic ambiance.
Fortunately, Violet managed to totally convert the space to make it an aquatic oasis perfect for the ceremony.
What happened during Sylvie Brett and Matthew Casey's wedding on Chicago Fire?
Brett and Casey officially tied the knot in Season 12, Episode 6 ("Port in the Storm"), swapping the sweetest vows.
"Sylvie Brett, getting here to this place was the toughest battle of my life," Casey started. "But it was worth every moment because we're here now. You are my port in the storm. The most generous, caring person I've ever known. And sometimes the most stubborn..."
"So not true," Brett protested.
"You would say that," Casey countered lovingly. "We were apart for too long. Now, I promise that you'll never be alone. I will always be by your side. And that this, the two of us together, is a fire that will never go out."
It was then Brett's turn, and she focused on Casey's compassion for children, something that was also very dear to her. Brett revealed that she knew Casey was "the one" after they visited Shedd Aquarium with her young half-sister, Amelia together. That feeling was only cemented after Casey left Chicago to become a legal guardian to two boys left behind after the death of Andy Darden (Corey Sorenson).
"It only made me love you more, even though I was trying so hard to let you go," Brett confessed tearfully. "And I couldn’t. It’s just like you said, we were meant to be. And we were meant to be a family."
Brett also had something to share with their guests, many of which helped make the wedding happen.
"And I have one more thing I want to say," Brett told them. "All I wanted was for this wedding to be simple, intimate, and perfect. And it's all of those things. Thank you, Tony, for knowing just how to make it right."
"Told you this place was magical," Tony smiled.
After Boden pronounced Brett and Casey as "husband and wife and a family," Brett and Casey shared perhaps their most swoon-worthy kiss in Chicago Fire history.
Sylvie Brett and Matt Casey's wedding reception was at Molly's
Would it be a Chicago Fire wedding without a reception at Molly's? Brett and Casey made their way after the ceremony to the beloved watering hole, sharing cake, dancing, and taking photos with their friends and family. Not only was the reception the perfect end to the perfect wedding, it was also a fitting send-off for two of 51's finest.
After all, Brett had revealed in Season 12, Episode 1 that, after the wedding, she'd be moving to Portland, as she and Casey had waited long enough to be together.
As the reception concluded, the members Firehouse 51 gathered outside Molly's to toss rice in honor of their friends' marriage and Brett's relocation. As the couple drove off, it was clear that they were on a direct route to their happily ever after.
