Brooklyn Nine-Nine Cast Reunites 3 Years After Series Ended - and They Look Completely Different
All eight seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine are now streaming on Peacock.
The officers of Brooklyn's 99th Precinct are still as tight as ever, despite the fact that their small screen adventures have come to an end. Posting to her Instagram account this week, Chelsea Peretti revealed that the cast of Brooklyn Nine-Nine (stream it on Peacock. now) had reunited for an evening of sweet reminiscence.
"Tonight was like a very special episode where we ran through so many memories and moments," wrote Peretti, who played the role of civilian administrator and assistant to Andre Braugher's Captain Holt, Gina Linetti. In addition to Peretti, attendees included Andy Samberg (Jake Peralta), Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa Diaz), Melissa Fumero (Amy Santiago), Joe Lo Truglio (Charles Boy), Terry Crews (Terry Jeffords), Dirk Blocker (Michael Hitchcock), Joel McKinnon Miller (Norm Scully), and series co-creator, Dan Goor.
What stands out the most is just how much the cast has changed since the series ended just a few years ago, and how the actors sometimes don't massively reflect the character they played. Joe Lo Truglio has gone full silver fox, while Samberg is wearing his glasses, and Beatriz is in a lovely floor-length dress (a big shift from Diaz's usual style).

Of course, the reunion carried a major note of poignance due to the recent loss of Braugher, who passed away late last year at the age of 61 following a battle with lung cancer.

Created by Goor and Michael Shur, the hit show ran on Fox for its first five seasons before cancelation. NBC subsequently rescued it for an additional three seasons.
"I'm so thankful to NBC and Universal Television for allowing us to give these characters and our fans the ending they deserve," Goor wrote in statement posted to the show's official Instagram account in February 2021. "I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with this amazing cast and crew for eight seasons. They are not only among the most talented people in the business, they are all good human beings who have become a family. But most of all, I feel lucky that we have had the best fans in the world. Fans who literally saved us from cancellation. Fans who will fill us with joy. Ending the show was a difficult decision, but ultimately, we felt it was the best way to honor the characters, the story, and our viewers. I know some people will be disappointed, but honestly, I'm grateful it lasted this long."
