Marina Squerciati Had a 'Date Night' Reunion With Chicago Med Alum Torrey Devitto
Squerciati and Devitto love any excuse for an off-set One Chicago crossover moment.
Let's face it, while the nail-biting action hooks viewers on Chicago Med, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Fire, the relationships among the dynamic cast of characters are what keep the One Chicago fanbase so strong. Those doctors, law enforcement, and firefighters have an impeccable way of worming their way into fan hearts, which makes it even more bittersweet when those characters bid farewell.
Often, the relationships among the tight-knit cast extend past the confines of the set. The One Chicago family loves any excuse to gather with their co-stars, whether it's for a birthday, a landmark episode, or... just because. And it looks like we have a bit of a crossover moment because Chicago P.D.'s Marina Squerciati recently hung out with former Chicago Med star Torrey Devitto.
Devitto played Dr. Natalie Manning in the first six seasons of the medical drama, making numerous guest appearances in P.D. and Fire. She and Squerciatti recently saw Tina: The Tina Turner Musical at the historic James M. Nederlander Theatre in Chicago, and they looked like they had a blast as they held up their playbills.
Devitto took to Instagram to document the moment, captioning the photo of the friends, "Date night with @marinasqu 🖤 #TinaTheMusical". We love a One Chicago reunion!
Squerciati and Devitto's recent theatrical excursion isn't the first time the pair reunited off-set. Last year, Squerciati and Devitto dined at Obélix in Chicago, and in 2021 the two actresses met for a delicious ice cream date at La Michoacana Premium.
Devitto said goodbye to Chicago Med in the Season 7 premiere after her character, Natalie, was driven to steal prescriptions from the hospital to help treat her dying mother. Always the hero, Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) took the blame after he found out, but Natalie couldn't handle the guilt of knowing he was fired for her actions. Natalie came clean to Dr. Sharon Goodwin (S. Empatha Merkerson), resigned, and moved to Seattle to be closer to her family.
After her heart wrenching departure, Devitto made a thoughtful Instagram tribute to her Chicago Med character and One Chicago fans. "All good things must come to an end. It has been such an honor and pure joy to bring Dr. Natalie Manning to life for all of you on Chicago Med for the past 6 seasons," Devitto captioned the slideshow. "But it is now time for her and me to bow out and say goodbye. Thank you to all you loyal watchers who adored her as much as I did. I can’t wait to share what’s to come with all of you. New adventures await! With love and gratitude, Torrey ❤️"
Squerciati remains a Chicago P.D. fan favorite as Officer Kim Burgess, recently taking center stage for the landmark 200th episode.
Watch Squerciati in Chicago P.D. on NBC Wednesdays at 10/9c and the next day on Peacock.
