Chrissy Metz Reveals the Easter Egg Chris Sullivan Tried to Hide in This Is Us Scenes

Chrissy Metz recently sat down with Us Weekly and revealed the hilarious item Chris Sullivan tried to hide in scenes while filming This Is Us. 

When the outlet asked Metz if there were any Easter eggs from This Is Us that fans may not have picked up on, she revealed, "Chris started hiding one of our awards in the cabinets. So if anybody ever notices that, I don't know if any of the final cuts or edits were they shown, but I do remember that." 

Looks like it's time to re-watch every episode of This Is Us and keep an eye out for rogue Emmys in the Pearson kitchen. Chris Sullivan, what a jokester! 

For those wondering which award Sullivan hid in the cabinets, there are several options. This Is Us was nominated for 40 Emmys throughout its six-season run, taking home four. Ron Cephas Jones won for Outstanding Guest Actor in Drama Series in 2020 and 2018, Sterling K. Brown won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2017, and Gerald McRaney won Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series in 2017. The whole cast won the Screen Actors Guild Award in 2018 for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, so our money is on that one! 

This Is Us changed Metz's life. The actress only had 81 cents in her bank account before auditioning for the role of Kate. "I was broke and living paycheck to paycheck," Metz said during an interview on The Pulse With Bill Anderson. "Now, I’m fortunate enough to have pursued something that became a success, which I never thought would happen."
