The former The Voice Coach joined forces with the rocker, boyband and even more A-Listers 23 years ago.
Many moons ago, former The Voice Coach Christina Aguilera (Seasons 1 through 3, 5, 8, and 10) did a rendition of one of the biggest hits of the 1980s with a slew of other A-listers. The song? "Every Breath You Take" by The Police.
The performance was for a 2000 VH1 special and started out with Sting himself singing the introduction lyrics before The Backstreet Boys came onstage and crooned together in perfect harmony. Then, Xtina strutted onstage, putting a unique spin on the melody with some vibrant riffs.
Oh, and also at the performance? Enrique Iglesias, Sisqo, Tom Jones, D'Angelo, and Nelly!

What to know about "Every Breath You Take" by The Police
Released in 1983 off of the band's final album Synchronicity, the song has become one of Sting and The Police's signature tunes to date. It reached the number on position on the Billboard Hot 100, In 2021, Rolling Stone placed it on the 305 position on its "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" list, describing the synth as "elaborate" and the bassline as "hypnotic."
