The Office Fan Favorite Craig Robinson Would "Love" to Play Darryl Again
At the moment though, the star of Peacock’s Killing It sort of has his hands full (of snakes).
Count Craig Robinson among the stars of The Office (streaming here on Peacock!) who are all in on reprising their classic characters if the hit NBC comedy should ever make a return someday.
The affable actor and comedian, who’s currently wranglin’ wild pythons in Peacock’s hilarious comedy series Killing It (watch it here), says he’s definitely up for more Dunder Mifflin mishaps in his old role as Darryl Philbin… should the landmark comedy someday see a revival, that is.

“You know, I only hear that when I do interviews!” Robinson recently teased after AV Club asked him his thoughts on The Office firing back to life. “…It hasn’t been mentioned to me. If it does, I would love to reprise Darryl at some point — but right now, I don’t know.”
Killing It Star Craig Robinson Open to The Office Return
Just so we’re as clear here as a Dwight Schrute checklist, there’s been no word from NBC that a reboot of The Office is in the offing — and who knows if Michael Scott (Steve Carell), whatever he’s up to these days, is dying for a shot at getting his old job back. Robinson played Darryl through all of the iconic comedy’s nine seasons, elevating his role from occasional comic relief to full-time cast member from Season 4 onward.
As TV jobs go, we’re not so sure that Robinson’s present-day Peacock gig is any more glamorous than shifting paper around in a Dunder Mifflin warehouse. On Killing It, Robinson plays a down-on-his-luck Florida man (also named Craig) whose surest shot at catching a break is to chase down as many giant snakes as he can to win the Florida Python Challenge.

Now streaming its second season, Killing It might hand Robinson some of the small screen’s dirtiest jobs (ever see a guy try to stave off a serpent attack by rolling up the car window on his scaly foe?) But offscreen, it’s a big creative step for the affable actor, who shares an executive producing credit on Killing It with series creators Dan Goor (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Parks and Recreation) and Luke Del Tredici.
Hey, if fellow NBC comedy classic Community can get the gang back together to make good on the “movie” part of its “Six seasons and a movie!” come-on, we guess there’s always hope that The Office could someday reassemble the remnants of its dysfunctional work family back in Scranton. If that ever does happen, at least we know of one cast mainstay who (hopefully) won’t have to fill out a whole new job application.
Stream all nine seasons of The Office on Peacock here, and catch Robinson on the snake hunt in Killing It, with both seasons now streaming on Peacock here.
