David Genat Reveals Family-First Plans for DONDI Winnings: "I Shouldn't Be Saying This Out Loud..."
"Everyone kind of strives for this point in life no matter what you do," David told NBC Insider.
After an explosive Season 2 finale that captivated audiences and set new benchmarks for primetime reality TV, Deal or No Deal Island crowned David Genat champion after he scored a staggering $5.8 million deal.
Behind the dazzling win and record-breaking deal, David's deep-rooted love for his family powered his quest for glory. Famed overseas as the "Golden God" of Australian Survivor, David knows a thing or two about high-stakes island gameplay. While navigating the game as an undercover Survivor-level threat, David dominated Excursions, formed steel-tight alliances, and didn't back down from big risks on Banker's Island. And every step of the way, David credited his family for inspiring all that passion and grit. Genat and his wife, Pearl Christensen, share four children, and he fought tooth and nail to bring home the gold to his Aussie family.

David's wallet is $5.8 million heavier, which begs the question: How do David and his family plan to celebrate his DONDI victory? In our exclusive NBC Insider finale interview with David Genat, he reveals how he plans on spending that fat stack of cash.
David Genat is going to buy a "fleet of new vehicles" for his kids
Following David's mind-blowing DONDI win, NBC Insider asked the reality TV titan how he plans to spend those historic earnings. David may have scored $500,000 on Survivor, but he's upped the ante. As the recipient of the most money anyone has ever won on primetime TV, there's some room to splurge.
"I probably shouldn't be saying this out loud because they're gonna hold me to it, but like, all my kids are coming up to driving age," David revealed with a grin. "So I'm probably gonna have to buy a fleet of new vehicles. I mean, hey, that's what I'm gonna do."
Four cars aren't a cheap goal, but with millions in his corner, they'll be on the road in no time. David also plans to treat himself after his electrifying victory. After a game defined by never slowing down, David plans on investing in a new ride for himself: "I'm gonna buy myself a new motorcycle 'cause I love motorcycles. That'll be my little fun spend."
The DONDI champion has big plans for the car dealership, but as we saw during that nail-biting final game against the Banker, they'll need to cut him a good enough deal.
David is excited to spend money on spending more time with family
After the Genat family garage has been properly stocked, David said he'd love to take some time with his wife and kids to relax on vacation.
"We're gonna take an incredible holiday," David explained. "I have to spend so much time away from my kids, so I would love to be able to spend some time with them and, like, just reconnect and we do a great family vacation. And ball out, which is gonna be amazing."
A busy actor, entertainer, and reality TV personality, David looks forward to the simplicity of relaxation. With his historic earnings, he won't have to grind as much, giving him much-welcomed time with the family.
"Everyone kind of strives for this point in life no matter what you do," David continued. "Where you're working to provide for your family and the people around you or your partner or whoever. And there's this constant day-to-day stress, and that's really present for me too, like even in entertainment..."
"And now, I'm smart with it, and I've got income. Like, it's great," David concluded. "I can do the projects I want. I can spend more time with them. I can do whatever I really want. Like, money is ultimate freedom."
After leaving one tropical paradise as champion, David can now afford a pretty spectacular getaway for the whole family. David definitely deserves it after playing one of the most mind-blowing games in reality TV history.
