Why Sofia Vergara Called the Adorable 7-Year-Old Eseniia Mikheeva a “Mini Star”
When asked why she was so cute, tiny dancer Eseniia Mikheeva replied, "I don't know!" to the Judges on America's Got Talent.
A 7-year-old with a wild head of curly blonde hair is dancing her way into the hearts of the America’s Got Talent Judges and audience.
Eseniia Mikheeva busted a few moves, despite admitting she was “a little nervous,” and got the audience on their feet during her Act.
How did Eseniia begin dancing?
The tiny dancer is from Moscow, Russia and appeared at her audition with her parents.

“When I was little, I sleep in the car and I hear [music] and I cannot move my legs — but I can move my head [to the beat],” Eseniia told the AGT Judges about when she first got the urge to dance.
She was on The Jennifer Hudson Show in April, where her dad shared she began dancing when she was only 7 months old.
“When you dance you feel freedom, you feel happy, you feel power,” Eseniia said on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
Dancing is in her blood: Her parents teach dance to children. But Eseniia’s dancing is a gift her father says he couldn’t teach, and Eseniia said her dancing is “from my heart.”
She shared on The Jennifer Hudson Show she knows many styles of dance, including ballet, tango, contemporary, and hip hop.
Wowing the America's Got Talent Judges
After Judge Sofia Vergara admired Eseniia’s long, blonde, curly ponytail and the little girl admitted her favorite Judge is Simon Cowell (with some prompting from Cowell), she got to work on the stage — doing the worm, backflips, splits, and even handstands during her routine.
“Eseniia, I think you are a mini, mini star already,” Vergara gushed after the audition. “I am so happy that you came tonight to AGT, because this is the place where you needed to be. We’re so happy you’re here.”
After bringing her stuffed dog on stage (named Linda) to join her, her proud parents also waved to the audience.
“I think you are incredible,” Judge Heidi Klum told Eseniia. “I love your dance, your tricks. What I love the most are your facial expressions. You are in there. You’re giving 100 percent.”
Ultimately, she earned four "Yes" votes from the Judges, with Howie Mandel raving about her, too.
