The This Is Us and Dr. Death star welcomed the pooch in the most selfless way. 

The actress quickly started filming Dr. Death after the NBC’s series This is Us ended.

Edgar Ramírez immediately came to mind as a casting choice while she was scripting the pilot, showrunner Ashley Michel Hoban said. 

The This is Us star shares why her part in Dr. Death is “wholly different” from her past roles. 

The thoracic surgeon performed transplants on numerous patients, most of whom have since died.
