The talented Gina Miles teased an original song to fans!

How to Watch

Watch The Voice on Mondays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

On July 6, the Season 23 The Voice winner took to her official Instagram page to share a brand new song that she's in the process of writing, titled "Someone New". In the clip, she strummed her acoustic guitar while using a warm, soothing tone while singing an emotional ballad about a strained relationship.

"Wanted to share a little original song i’ve been working on, this one’s Someone New 💕 (for now at least lol 🤠)," she captioned the post.

Does Gina Miles have more original music?

In 2021, before her The Voice victory, Miles released an EP titled Who Are You. One highlight is the track "Incredibly Impatient," which features soulful, indie vocals and thumping drums.

Miles also explained to NBC Insider the direction she sees her original music heading. "I feel like I want to experiment with sounds and see what we like. And I feel like I've definitely found my lane through the show of those more darker, moodier songs. Also pop songs. I really do enjoy a pop moment, and I like performing and having fun just as much as I like to be emotional and have those deeper songs, too," she said.

From Paxton, Illinois, Miles auditioned for The Voice at the young age of 18, singing "The One That Got Away" by Katy Perry. She received chair turns from both Kelly Clarkson and Niall Horan, who noted the contrast behind her deep, rich singing tone and her soft speaking voice.

“I’m not super crazy confident normally, but when I sing, I’m a very different person,” Miles said. She ended up choosing team Niall, which worked out well for her, as she took home the winning title that season.

In an interview with NBC Insider, Miles opened up about her origins and inspirations as a singer.

"So my dad was a DJ. So growing up, I had a lot of different musical influences. I'm definitely a radio person. I love listening to the top hits. I want to know what's going on. I'm a really big fan of the 2000s music. I am still stuck there and love it so much. It's so nice, and I think making music with that kind of nostalgic feeling is also something I would love to do because I know we all love that time period. Not that you want to be stuck in the past, but there's a magic about the 2000s that I just would love to capture," she told us.
