Why Sydney Sweeney popped up at the Powell family wedding
After seeing their red-hot chemistry in Anyone But You (in which their characters...hook up at a wedding), fans have been wondering if something was going on between Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell, and the speculation went into overdrive when Sweeney attended Powell's sister's wedding.. .just after calling off her engagement. In response to the rumors, Powell laughed at hold Bush Hager and Munn: "Timing is everything in this world, isn’t it?"
It's not Leslie's fault she had her wedding right after Sydney became single!
He insisted there's a simple explanation for why she was there, and no, it wasn't as his date. "[Leslie] and Syd are obviously great friends and it was a hell of a wedding. The Powells know how to do it right," he said. Oh, right. Weddings are about the bride.
Online, fans were glad that Bush Hager and Munn went there with their guest. "Asking the hard hitting timely questions we need 👏❤️😍" wrote one on Instagram.

This echoes what his mother, Cyndy Powell, told the press earlier in the week, when she insisted, “We love Sydney. We’ve considered her just a really, really good friend... We all were together so much, and we haven’t seen her in a long time. She’s really a friend and we all enjoy her.” Powell and Sweeney are such good friends that he even showed up to support her when she hosted Saturday Night Live in March 2024, making an appearance during a gag in her monologue.
