Heidi Klum has four kids: Leni, 19; Henry, 17; Johan, 16; and 13-year-old Lou. In a 2011 interview with Good Housekeeping, Klum opened up about balancing parenthood with a busy career in the spotlight.

“Keeping it all together as a modern woman means multitasking, especially when you work,” she said. “I think you always need to try your best, but at the same time, you can only do what you can do, and you don’t need to beat yourself up about it. I’m not white-picket-fence perfect."

Klum's oldest daughter, Leni, is literally her mother's clone. Not only do they resemble each other, but Leni is also following in her mother's modeling footsteps. In 2020, the two posed on the cover of Vogue Germany, and they both looked stunning and chic.

When sharing the cover on her Instagram page, Klum gave some words of wisdom to her daughter. “I hope that no matter where it takes you, you always carry within you what I have given you over the past 16 years. For the big decisions in life, but also for the little ones,” Klum wrote in German. “And while you often don’t want to hear your mom’s smart advice, here’s another one: Never do anything you don’t want to do and always listen to your gut.”

Leni recently moved to New York City to study interior design, something that made her mother proud, even though she misses her daughter.

"I’m trying not to freak out, 'cause, you know, we all have to do this at some point, we all have to leave the nest," Klum told Talent Recap in an interview. "You can’t forever live with your parents...Sometimes I sit at the dinner table…and I literally have to go cry somewhere and come back because it’s so sad."

She continued, "New York is kind of our home away from home. We’ve always been in New York filming and shooting and my daughter knows New York very well, so it’s not like going to a new place she’s never been before. So, I think she’ll do OK with the city."
