This Is How AGT: All-Stars Works
Sixty of your favorite Got Talent Acts have another chance to win an AGT title.
America's Got Talent fans will be excited to know they'll have a brand new series to help ring in the new year. AGT: All-Stars is premiering in 2023, marking the return of 60 Acts (singers, dancers, ventriloquists, comedians, aerialists, magicians, and more) from past AGT seasons and Got Talents around the world.
"It was terrific, and it was really fascinating to see people who've competed on the American show and done really well, competing with people who won the show in other countries," executive producer and Judge Simon Cowell told People. "The dynamic was fascinating... and what really was great and cool about the show was that so many people decided to come back and compete."
You will definitely recognize familiar faces, from recent Season 17 standouts like Avery Dixon and Sara James, to previous winners like Kodi Lee, Terry Fator, and Dustin Tavella. And in case you're wondering what it will look like to see all of the greats competing against one another, we've explained everything you need to know, below.
How does the new AGT: All-Stars work?
Each week 10 new Acts will perform for the Judges in efforts to advance to the Final. Just one Act will advance to each week thanks to the AGT Superfan vote; results will be revealed during the episode. There will also be five Golden Buzzers up for grabs, which automatically advance the selected Act to the Final.
In the end a total of 11 Acts will qualify for the Final. The Superfans will vote for the winner and results will be revealed during the two-hour finale.
How does an Act receive a Golden Buzzer?
Exactly like the original AGT. Judges Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum each have one Golden Buzzer to give away. Host Terry Crews will also award a Golden Buzzer in addition to the return of the coveted Group Golden Buzzer.
How can I watch AGT: All-Stars?
The new series premieres on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 8/7c on NBC. You can also stream the episodes the next day on Peacock.
