What is I Am My Brother’s Keeper about?
Read an official description, below:
"I Am My Brother’s Keeper focuses on the Obama Foundation My Brother’s Keeper Alliance Creative Exchange Program between students in the U.S. and the UK. President Obama launched My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) in February 2014 to address the persistent opportunity gaps boys and young men of color face and to ensure all young people can reach their full potential. Today, the Alliance works to unleash the power of communities working together to solve problems for boys and young men of color at a level to improve real life outcomes. We believe communities are the unit of change to realize improved life outcomes for our boys.
The special will focus on MBK students’ experience with a travel and exchange-based experiential program between Chicago and London where the students are given a creative assignment and mentored by executives in the arts, design, and marketing. This program enriches their critical thinking and collaboration skills as well as opens up their world views culturally and offers them a view to career pathways and what is possible."
