How to Watch NBC's 10-Episode Nature Docuseries The Americas
The Americas premieres exclusively on NBC Sunday, February 23 at 7 p.m. ET. Here's how to make sure you don't miss a moment of the super-sized premiere.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life, it's all too easy to forget the splendorous beauty waiting just outside our front door.
NBC is here to change all that with The Americas, a 10-hour limited docuseries spotlighting the wonderful creatures, habitats, and ecosystems found throughout North and South America. Narrated by Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks and scored by fellow Oscar recipient Hans Zimmer, the show hails from BAFTA-winning wildlife producer, Mike Gunton (Life, Planet Earth II, Dynasties).
Each episode is dedicated to a different spot on the continent: “The Atlantic Coast,” “Mexico,” “The Wild West,” “The Amazon,” “The Frozen North,” “The Gulf Coast,” “The Andes,” “The Caribbean,” “The West Coast,” and “Patagonia.”

“I had the idea that there was an area of the planet no one had ever really covered,” Gunton told The Hollywood Reporter last spring. “It’s the Americas. What’s so exciting is that nowhere has this range. You cannot imagine anything more diverse. As a wildlife filmmaker, you are looking for superlatives. It hasn’t got elephants but it’s got everything else. [We] are delivering things people have never seen before."
