Dateline has been reporting on some of the most talked-about true crime stories throughout Season 33.

Keith Morrison, who’s been a Dateline correspondent since 1995, said on The Kelly Clarkson Show that they receive story ideas from fans all the time. “Emails, phone calls, you name it,” he told Kelly Clarkson during an October 2024 appearance on her talk show with fellow correspondent, Andrea Canning. “You hear the stories of people who’ve been trying and trying for years to get some attention to their case. And they can’t, they can’t solve it.”
With his signature voice, Morrison has been in the game so long he’s been dubbed “granddaddy of true crime" and he and the rest of the Dateline team keep viewers tuning in every week to see which story they’ll tackle next.

No, Dateline is not airing a new episode tonight, Friday, March 28.
While Dateline is taking a brief hiatus this week, NBC will air the 2025 World Figure Skating Championships on Friday, March 28. Tune in at 8/7c to watch the Women's Free Skate event, followed by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon at 11:30/10:30c on NBC.
