Keke Palmer stunned in a dress that’s older than her at the 2025 SAG Awards. What’s more, the exact gown was worn by an Oscar-winning actress decades before her.

Jamie Lee Curtis was "thrilled" to see Keke Palmer wearing the same Chanel gown she did in 1986

On Sunday, February 23, the Password host wore a vintage black velvet gown from Chanel’s autumn/winter 1985 collection, according to Vogue. Years before, Jamie Lee Curtis wore the same exact dress to another red carpet Hollywood event. Palmer accessorized the archival gown with gold earrings and long black opera gloves, just like the Halloween actress did in 1986 when she wore the strapless Chanel dress to the First Annual American Cinematheque Award Salute to Eddie Murphy.

Curtis said on Instagram she was "thrilled" to see Palmer in the gorgeous gown nearly 40 years after she wore it. "I'm thrilled to be anywhere near @keke in style and grace and talent!" Curtis captioned a side-by-side photo of the two actresses in the Chanel dress. Palmer left an equally sweet comment, writing, "My QUEEN! I love you!!!!"

At the 2025 SAG Awards, Palmer presented an award with Sing Sing star and her “friend” Colman Domingo. “Presenting is a little spooky, but I’m doing it with Colman Domingo. He’s a friend,” she said on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony. And while Palmer wasn’t among the nominees at this year's SAG Awards, she didn’t go unrecognized this weekend. The One of Them Days star and Emmy-winning actor won Entertainer of the Year at the 56th NAACP Image Awards on Saturday, February 22.

“I couldn’t be more grateful for the acknowledgement especially with all the incredible work you have done for our community … It’s so important as we ask for all the things we deserve that we look at all we have accomplished,” Palmer wrote on Instagram, describing the award as “an honor” and added that she was “so sad” she forgot to thank her mom, dad, and son Leo in her acceptance speech.

Palmer’s son Leo did, however, get to see his mom all dressed up ahead of the 2025 SAG Awards. And, as she told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, he was in awe. “It’s the sweetest thing your kids do,” she said. “My son, any time he sees a princess or anything glamorous, he says ‘Mama, mama!’ And I’m like, ‘You think I’m Queen Elizabeth?’”

Palmer attended her first SAG Awards ceremony in 2005 when she was just 11 years old. That year, E! News reports, she was a nominee for her performance in The Wool Cap. Now, 20 years later, she's officially made her SAG Awards return in iconic style.
