Kelly Clarkson Reveals ‘Kellyoke’ EP With an Incredible Billie Eilish Cover
Yes, an EP of Kellyokes is coming!
We love a Kelly Clarkson "Kellyoke" moment. Between Clarkson’s powerful vocals and the undeniable expertise of her band, Y’all, Kellyoke segments have become a staple on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
And on May 25th, the Daytime Emmy winner announced she is partnering with Atlantic Records to release an official Kellyoke EP on June 9th. Yes, you read that right!
“Music is in the DNA of everything I do, so when The Kelly Clarkson Show started, we knew it was the perfect way to kick off every episode,” Clarkson said in the official press release, according to Billboard. “Over 500 songs later, and we’re still not running out of amazing Artists to pay tribute to. Picking just six was near-impossible, but these songs have been some of my favorites. Thanks for singing along with me, y’all!”
The EP will feature a handful of Clarkson’s favorite covers, including “Blue Bayou” by Linda Ronstadt, “Call Out My Name” by The Weeknd, “Happier Than Ever” by Billie Eilish, “Queen Of The Night” by Whitney Houston, “Trampoline” by Shaed, and “Fake Plastic Trees” by Radiohead.
In honor of the exciting news, Clarkson released the official EP track for “Happier Than Ever” by Billie Eilish, giving fans a taste of what’s to come. The original “Happier Than Ever” Kellyoke performance aired on the September 30th, 2021 episode of her hit talk show.
It will come as a surprise to absolutely no one that her performance of the emotional song is sublime, so prepare to play it on repeat until the full EP release.
