Kelsea Ballerini’s Jennifer Coolidge Voice Impression Is Wildly Accurate
The Voice Season 27 Coach's impression is so good.
Kelsea Ballerini is a singer, songwriter, and now Coach on The Voice Season 27. But perhaps her greatest talent is her uncanny ability to flawlessly imitate actress Jennifer Coolidge's iconic speaking style. In a recent episode, she showed off her impression skills to the other Coaches, giving a whole new meaning to "the voice."

Kelsea Ballerini has a very particular special skill: impressions
During a break from the Knockouts, the Coaches showed off their special talents, with Coach Michael Bublé playing with a hockey puck and stick, and Coach Adam Levine balancing a hat on his nose (as he had with a sword during the Blind Auditions). But the most impressive was definitely Ballerini, effortlessly slipping into her Coolidge voice.

"Ahh, you look like the Fourth of July. Makes me want a hot dog real bad," she said, quoting the standout line from Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde. In the scene, Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) is dressed up in red, white and blue during a visit to the nation's Capitol, prompting her friend Paulette (Coolidge) to make the remark. It's since taken on a life of its own. Funnily enough, Coolidge is an animal lover and a devout vegan and doesn't actually eat hot dogs!
Chloe Fineman, Dana Carvey, and Ariana Grande do a good Coolidge, too
On a recent episode of Saturday Night Live, host Ariana Grande, special guest and SNL alum Dana Carvey (Season 12 through Season 18), and resident shapeshifter Chloe Fineman all showed off their own Coolidge impressions together in one sketch! Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Fineman explained how the Coolidge bonanza came together.
"That was a crazy one, because on SNL on Tuesday, we pitch to the Host — but usually, it's kind of a joking thing," Fineman recalled. "The Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest had just happened. So I was like, 'Maybe it's, like, a soundalike, Coolidge...' just as a throwaway. Then Ariana Grande, she was like, 'We're doing it.'"
"And it's because she was familiar with my impression on your show, and I've seen her do it on your show. So we're to thank you for it," she added to Fallon. As for getting Carvey on board, the offer was simple: "I was like, 'Hey, you want to do drag?' He was down!"
