Mandy Moore Just Shared That She's Expecting Her Second Child
A big congrats is in order from the This Is Us fandom!
Mandy Moore has had an incredible year. She beautifully wrapped up six seasons of playing Rebecca Pearson on This Is Us, released new music, and has a summer tour planned. As if things couldn't get any better, the actress-singer announced on June 3 she and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, are expecting their second child. (They welcomed son Gus in February 2021.)
"One incredibly seminal chapter of my life just ended and the next one, as a mother of two, is about to start… and are we ever so deeply grateful and excited," Moore wrote on Instagram. "Baby Boy Goldsmith #2 coming this fall! Tour is 'gonna be slightly different than I expected, but I can’t wait and Gus is 'gonna be the BEST big brother!! Xo."
A big congratulations from the This Is Us fandom is in order. After all, the "seminal chapter" that recently closed for Moore was the hit NBC show, which concluded in May after six seasons. Moore earned Golden Globe, Emmy, and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for her portrayal of Rebecca Pearson, the matriarch of This Is Us who passed away from Alzheimer's in the series finale.
"I don't think I fully processed it yet, like I get emotional thinking about it," Moore told Today about the end of This Is Us. "It was probably more emotional being on set for a lot of my other friends' last day. I was there for Susan [Kelechi Watson] and for Chris Sullivan. Sterling [K. Brown] and Chrissy [Metz] and Justin [Hartley] shot the next day, but Milo [Ventimiglia] and I wrapped together and Chrissy, Susan, and Sterling all stayed around a couple hours after they were done with work to watch Milo and I wrap. That's how we feel about one another."
Stream the final episodes of This Is Us now on Peacock. Congrats again to Mandy and Taylor!
