Mandy Moore Is Starring in a New Show From the This Is Us Co-Showrunners
It sounds so good.
Mandy Moore is giving us an exciting new project. The This Is Us star will act in and be the executive producer of a new television series titled Twin Flames.
Based on a hit podcast, Twin Flames, per Deadline, “tells the true story of two women who find themselves seduced by the online teachings of a couple who preach that every person has a soul mate called a 'Twin Flame' and must do whatever it takes to be with that person. Desperate to find true love, these two are swept into the increasingly dangerous waters of the Twin Flame Universe.”
On Twin Flames, Moore is collaborating with former This Is Us co-showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who helped develop the project for 20th Century Television.
“Mandy is one of those rare and exceptionally talented Artists who’s as brilliant on the screen as she is off, with a keen eye and natural instinct for uncovering fascinating material,” Karey Burke, President of 20th Television, told Deadline. “Working with Mandy over the course of her award-winning six years on This Is Us, cemented our desire to extend our relationship with her, and we are incredibly excited to develop projects together in the years to come.”
Moore played the family matriarch Rebecca of the Pearson family in This Is Us, a critically-acclaimed role that garnered her an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2019. We can’t wait to see what she has in store next!
