Why Marina Squerciati's Favorite P.D. Moment Is This Romantic Upstead Scene
"It felt like a real couple scene," Squerciati said.
During a recent interview with Chicago P.D. actors Marina Squerciati, Amy Morton, and Tracy Spiridakos, the trio shared some of their all-time favorite moments from the series.
Fans of the fast-paced drama know it's chock-full of juicy moments, and one of Squerciati's favorites might surprise you. Her pick for best scene is between characters Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos).
"When you guys [Upstead] were eating, like, Chinese food on the steps of your million-dollar apartment! Kim Burgess lives in a hovel, and you guys are, like, clearly funneling money," Squerciati joked. "Anyways, you guys have this lovely scene of, like, you’re suffering and hiding it, and Halstead is kind of just, like, doesn’t know and is on the up and up. It was just lovely—it felt like a real couple scene. Two people eating...I thought it was nice.”
The trio also laughed about how much fun they all genuinely have together on set: "We laugh a lot," Spiridakos said.
"One time...I think it was a kid's party, and there was a bouncy house," Squerciati revealed. "It was either a trampoline or a bouncy house and there was no center—just like, for the set. And [Halstead] is just like 'Ah', and he hits the ground. That was the most fun he had."
It's great to know that the cast enjoys working on Chicago P.D. as much as viewers enjoy watching.
And the show is returning to NBC this fall! Season 10 premieres Wednesday, September 21 at 10/9c on NBC. Catch up now on Peacock and on NBC.
