How to Get Tickets to the Migration Movie Ahead of the Holidays
Buckle in for Illumination's latest movie, Migration, a family vacation like none other.
The premiere of Migration is just two weeks away on December 22, and tickets are now on sale for the latest animated feature film from Illumination. Known for tremendously fun blockbusters like The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Despicable Me, and Minions, Illumination brings us the ultimate in family-friendly sweetness just in time for the holidays. Loaded with cute characters, epic adventures, and deeper themes on the importance of family — it’s sure to be a hit with kids of all ages.
So, if you're looking to go to the movies with your family this holiday season, here's how you can make sure you've all got seats to the best family adventure in theaters, Migration.
How do I get tickets to Migration?
You can find all the ordering information for Migration and get a sneak peek of the movie on its official website. Meanwhile, tickets are now available to pre-order from regular vendors like Fandango and Atom. Be sure to secure yours so you and your family can join the Mallard family on their whirlwind adventure. Although, hopefully your trip to the theater goes smoother than the Mallards' trip south.
What is Migration about?
The movie follows the adventures of the Mallard duck family who fly the coop, so to speak, and head south for the winter to Jamaica, towing along curmudgeonly Uncle Dan (voiced by none other than Danny DeVito). As it turns out, leaving their comfortable New England pond to explore the larger world brings quite a few challenges, as they end up on the mean streets of New York City, where they encounter more than one tough-talking pigeon. Ultimately, the Mallard family — including kids Dax and Gwen — bring a lot of feathered fortitude and heart through the many entertaining obstacles they face. But the question remains: Will they make it to their destination, or will this family vacation fall apart?
The cast includes Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) as the peppy mom, Pam, and comedian Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley) as the duck dad, Mack. Together they'll bring their kids Dax (Caspar Jennings) and Gwen (Tresi Gazal) on the flight of a lifetime. French filmmaker Benjamin Renner — the film’s mastermind alongside writer Mike White (School of Rock) — brought us the Oscar-nominated 2012 film Ernest & Celestine, and we can’t help but notice Migration touches on a similar theme of prevailing against all odds.
So if you're looking for something that'll warm hearts, awaken an adventurous spirit and highlight the power of family as you and yours gather for the holidays in 2023, you're not going to want to miss Migration only in theaters on December 22.
