Watch Niall Horan Effortlessly Harmonize with The Lumineers for Their Hit "Gun Song"

The Voice Coach just might become a new member of The Lumineers, which he calls his "favorite band."

Niall Horan has collaborated with some seriously impressive musicians throughout his career, but it was a match made in folk-rock heaven when The Voice Coach teamed up with The Lumineers to deliver a mesmerizing performance at the 2023 Pinkpop Festival on June 16.

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Horan and The Lumineers were among the many headliners at the music festival held in Landgraaf, Netherlands. Horan kicked off his set with an energizing performance, later veering from his tent to perform with one of his "favorite bands," The Lumineers. Horan earned a flood of enthusiastic applause as soon as the group shined a light on their special guest for their 2016 ballad, "Gun Song."

Horan's silky vocals and rustic timbre made him the perfect addition to the track as he seamlessly harmonized with Lumineers lead singer Wesley Schultz. Horan fit right in as a fellow band member as he played the tambourine and performed with passion, making for an all-around electric set. Watch Horan and The Lumineers' amazing festival performance, below.

The Pinkpop Festival is one of the many stops on Horan's tour of The Show, the Voice Coach's latest no-skip studio album. After dropping his first single from the album, "Heaven," Horan spoke with NBC Insider about The Show and the evolution of his sound throughout the years.

“[The album] feels really good," Horan explained. "Feels the most mature. Again, I haven't released music since I was 25 or 26, and to be closing in on 30, I think you just gather more information as you go. So I'm starting to hear all of that stuff [in] my music. And what I'm saying is a bit more grown up I guess. And I wanted the sound of that to match what I'm saying."

"So I think it's my favorite stuff," Horan revealed. "And the best stuff that I've made."

While it might be rare for a newbie Coach to snatch up the champion during their first go-around in the red chair, Horan proved to be an exception. Team Niall quickly demonstrated they had what it took to go toe to toe with fellow newcomer Chance the Rapper and Voice titans Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson

Team Niall's Gina Miles took home the Season 23 crown, and Horan has confirmed he isn't done scouting for unique talent yet. Horan will compete for the glory against Gwen StefaniJohn Legend, and Reba McEntire during The Voice Season 24, airing in the fall on NBC, and it's bound to be a nail-biting race to the victory.
