Ryan Gosling Is Hosting Saturday Night Live on April 13 with Musical Guest Chris Stapleton
Barbie Academy Award nominee Gosling will host for his third time, with Stapleton also returning for his third stint as musical guest.
Just one week after he returned to Saturday Night Live to help induct Kristen Wiig into the Five-Timers Club, Ryan Gosling is back in the building to host SNL for his third time on April 13.
The Host is a 2024 Academy Award nominee, who in March delivered an electric Oscar night performance of that film's famous song. He also happens to be a historically excellent two-time SNL Host who's starred in iconic sketches with the likes of Kate McKinnon and Vanessa Bayer.
Despite his singing talents, Gosling won't be the Musical Guest. A musician who's put in two previous appearances will also return to perform.

Who is hosting Saturday Night Live on April 13, 2024?
A three-time Academy Award nominee, Gosling was most recently nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for portraying tortured doll Ken in Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie.
A star since his days as a Mickey Mouse Club cast member alongside Christina Aguilera and past SNL Hosts Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, Gosling's vast filmography includes acclaimed movies such as La La Land, Half Nelson, Drive, and Blade Runner 2049.

In an episode of Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes's Smartless podcast recorded in June 2023, director Gerwig shared that she knew Gosling had the comedy chops to bring her Ken to life from seeing him on SNL.
"You know those actors, you can just sort of feel that they know what's funny? I always felt that about him," Gerwig said on the pod. "And then I'm a big fan of all of his SNLs, I always thought he was great on SNL… He did 'Guy That Just Got a Boat' on 'Weekend Update,' and it's so good."
In 2024, Gosling stars opposite Oppenheimer's Emma Blunt in the action film The Fall Guy, in theaters May 3.

This will be the "Tennesee Whiskey" singer's third time as Musical Guest. A 10-time Grammy Award winner, in 2024 Stapleton headlines the “All-American Road Show” tour with his fifth studio album, Higher, which was released in November 2023.
