Benedict Cumberbatch!
Cumberbatch is a critically-acclaimed actor with two Oscar nominations to his name, not to mention six Emmy nominations (and one win). He's also been nominated for five Screen Actors Guild Awards, four Golden Globes, and eight (!) Critics' Choice Awards. So, yeah, you could say he's talented. He's perhaps best known for his work in the Doctor Strange movies, where he plays the titular role. But his other notable works include Sherlock, The Imitation Game, and The Power of the Dog. He's hosted Saturday Night Live once before, in 2016, when Solange was the performer.
"You turn up and see what they've got," Cumberbatch told MTV in 2016 when talking about his SNL plans. "And then you try to bring your own funny and see what happens...It's a whole different ballpark when it's live. It's a legendary, legendary bed-rocker of American comedy. The greatest talents of every part of the industry come out of there."
