Simon Cowell Just Shared Some Rare Pics With His Mini-Me Son, Eric
Cowell and his family look like they had a fun-filled day with the Chelsea FC soccer club.
America's Got Talent and AGT: All-Stars wouldn't be the same without Simon Cowell, who is more of a softie than you may think. Cowell is a known family man, and his love for his 8-year-old son, Eric, is endless.
While Cowell has spoken widely about his son, he tends to keep fatherhood snapshots off his grid. But in a rare exception, Cowell took to Instagram (see here) on Monday, February 6, to share pictures of a family outing with the Chelsea FC soccer club. In the first pic of the slideshow, Cowell poses alongside his fiancée, Lauren Silverman, and Eric while meeting the team's lion mascots.
Cowell is repping the Chelsea FC colors with a warm scarf tied tight around his face as the family poses alongside mascots Stamford and Bridget, and Eric looks like he is having a blast. Eric's fun didn't stop with meeting mascots, either. Cowell's son also had the honor of hanging out with soccer star, Mason Mount.
"We had the best time at @chelseafc," the AGT Judge captioned the post. "@masonmount you are such a nice person. Thank you!" In the next two photos of the post, Eric meets Mount while cheesing for the picture and receiving a signed soccer ball. The post gathered several comments about Eric's resemblance to Cowell, which only grows as the youngster ages.
Cowell is in no shortage of praise for his son, revealing to The Sun in October 2022 that Eric has completely shifted his perspective. “If Eric hadn’t come along, God knows what would have happened. I was really unhappy. But now Eric is around, I don’t work through the night anymore," Cowell revealed. "I’m a very different man to the one I was 10 years ago. Eric changed everything, to be honest."
"After I lost my mum and my dad, you kind of think you’re never going to feel that love again—that’s it. Then you have kids, and—though I never thought I would feel that way—it’s beyond your love for your parents. It almost hurts how much you love them," Cowell admitted. "Then you start thinking, ‘When he grows up, what’s his dad going to have done?’ I think about that a lot."
Watch AGT: All-Stars Mondays at 8/7c on NBC and the next day on Peacock.
