Selena Gomez to Host May 14 Episode of SNL, Post Malone Will Perform
Now this is a lineup.
The Host and musical guest for Saturday Night Live's May 14, 2022 episode have been announced, and let's just say it's a stacked lineup. Read on for more details.
Who is hosting the May 14, 2022 episode of Saturday Night Live?
Selena Gomez!
This will be Gomez's hosting debut. The singer-actress was the musical guest on SNL back in January 2016, when she was promoting her album Revival. She performed her hit song "Hands to Myself," in addition to a medley featuring her tracks "Same Old Love" and "Good for You." Gomez also showed off her comedic chops in a sketch called "Bland Man." (Watch for yourself, below.)
While prepping for her SNL performance in 2016, Gomez told Access Hollywood, "It's good kind of nerves. It's a good time for me to perform. I've always wanted to perform on SNL, but this is the time to do it. To be able to do all three songs is 'gonna be awesome."
Selena Gomez is the definition of a multi-hyphenate. She has an accomplished music career, with massive singles like "Come & Get It" and "Lose You to Love Me" to her name. (The latter song was Gomez's first number one on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.) In 2022, she received her first Grammy nomination for Best Latin Pop Album (Revelación). The 29-year-old is also a successful actress, having most recently appeared in Hulu's Only Murders in the Building alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short. She's in the beauty game, too: Her Rare Beauty line launched in September 2020.
Who is performing in the May 14, 2022 episode of Saturday Night Live?
Post Malone!
The 26-year-old rapper has achieved incredible critical and commercial success in a short span of time. He has four Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles to his name, plus countless in the top 20, not to mention nine Grammy nominations. His fourth studio album, Twelve Carat Toothache, will drop June 3, 2022.
