Jacob Elordi to Host SNL on January 20 with Musical Guest Reneé Rapp
It's Priscilla and Saltburn actor Elordi's first time hosting, with singer and Mean Girls star Rapp as musical guest in the first show of 2024.
The lineup for the very first Saturday Night Live episode of 2024 has been revealed, and the Host and musical guest for the January 20, 2024 show are two of Hollywood's biggest rising stars. One starred in a highly buzzed-about 2023 film, while the other leads a 2024 musical based on an iconic Tina Fey movie.
Read all the details below.
Who is hosting Saturday Night Live on January 20, 2024?
Jacob Elordi.
Elordi, an Australian actor, first rose to fame in the U.S. with the role of Nate Jacobs on the series Euphoria, as well as starring in The Kissing Booth trilogy.
In the back half of 2023, Elordi had a couple of major film roles, co-starring in Emerald Fennell's movie Saltburn and in Sofia Coppola's Priscilla. That makes him the second SNL Host in two seasons to have portrayed Elvis Presley on the big screen—the first being Elvis star Austin Butler in 2022.
Who is the musical guest for Saturday Night Live on January 20, 2024?
Reneé Rapp.
Rapp released her debut album, Snow Angel, in 2023. As an actress, she gained popularity as Leighton on the Max series The Sex Lives of College Girls.
On January 12, 2024, Rapp will play the role of Regina George in the Mean Girls musical remake. Tina Fey, who wrote the 2004 movie and the subsequent stage musical, wrote this screenplay as well, and will reprise her role as Ms. Norbury. SNL creator Lorne Michaels is also a producer of the film.
In October 2023, Rapp visited Late Night with Seth Meyers to perform her single "Tummy Hurts" and explain her album-related "I HATE BOSTON" billboard to Meyers, a New Englander.

Is SNL on Christmas break?
