Susan Boyle Did a Gentle, Gorgeous Cover of Coldplay's "Fix You"
The Britain's Got Talent Season 3 finalist did a breathtaking rendition of the song in 2019.
Susan Boyle's angelic voice can bring out the beauty of any song, but it was especially suited for this 2000s alt-rock ballad. In 2019, the Britain's Got Talent Season 3 runner-up covered "Fix You" by Coldplay, and her ethereal rendition will send chills down your spine.
During the performance, Boyle started off in a soft head voice, singing the lyrics with precision. She pulled off some stunning vocal flips as her voice grew in intensity while still maintaining a vulnerable tone. When the background singers kicked in, Boyle hit some gorgeous sustained notes.

About "Fix You" by Coldplay
The second single released off the band's third album X&Y, "Fix You" is a critically-acclaimed ballad known for its atmospheric synthesizer. The hopeful lyrics were written by lead singer Chris Martin after his then-wife Gwyneth Paltrow's father passed away. The lyrics aimed to help her see the light at the end of the tunnel following her loss.
In 2021, Rolling Stone placed "Fix You" on the 392 position on its "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" list. "From the frayed ends of his falsetto to his heart-on-sleeve lyrics, Chris Martin’s unironic earnestness is his gift; he reaches for the biggest emotions he can, and when he connects, the results can feel colossal," the outlet praised the tune.
