Wendy Moten's Best Performances on The Voice Are Truly Breathtaking
She can belt.
As the runner-up on The Voice Season 21, Wendy Moten captivated audiences week after week with her stunning...well, voice. The Memphis-born singer put her decades of experience in the music industry on display by taking on tracks from a wide range of icons: Sting, Dolly Parton, and many in between.
Moten was one of the few Artists this season to get the coveted four-chair turnaround during her Blind Audition, thanks to her unforgettable rendition of The Beatles’ “We Can Work It Out.” Though the Coaches all went to bat to get her to join their teams, Moten ultimately chose Blake Shelton, following her longstanding love and connection to country music.
As a member of Team Blake, Moten won both the Battle and Knockout rounds and delivered plenty of memorable performances in the live shows. Her highlights included Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know,” and Judy Garland’s “Over the Rainbow.” Watch for yourself, above.
If you like The Voice, you'll love American Song Contest, NBC's new music competition show where Artists from 50 U.S. states, five territories, and Washington, D.C perform original songs—and viewers decide which one is the best. It premieres March 21 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
