See Why Justin Aaron Made Gwen Stefani 'So Emotional' on The Voice
The Kansas native was the last of #TeamGwen in the competition.
#TeamGwen is officially out of the running for The Voice Season 22 crown.
Stefani's last team member, Justin Aaron, was sadly eliminated during December 6's Live Results Show. Aaron, who hails from Junction City, Kansas, first impressed the No Doubt front woman during his Blind Audition when he sang John Legend's own 2015 chart-topper, "Glory."
For his most recent Top 8 performance, Aaron took on Cynthia Erivo's "Stand Up," but the impressive performance still somehow landed him in Bottom 4 along with Team Legend's Parijita Bastola, Omar Jose Cardona, and Kim Cruse.
For his Last-Chance performance, Aaron covered "Made a Way" by Travis Greene, a moment that nearly brought Stefani to tears.
"That was so amazing, that was so powerful," she said. "And I could see that you were really deeply, really in that song. And it's very hard for me to find words right now because I'm very emotional. I was up all night praying for you, thinking about this. Camila turned to me and said you are the kindest person on the show this season and everybody feels it."
Before the results of the Instant Save were revealed, Aaron opened up to his Coach.
"I would like to just say thank you," he said. "Thank you for believing in me, thank you for taking a chance on me, thank you for your 'Yes.' It has been amazing to work with such an icon that you are."
The fans ultimately voted Cardona into the Top 5, sending him to the Finale as Aaron, Bastola, and Cruse went home.
