Are you ready to rock, The Voice fans? With the two-part Season 24 finale, NBC has a fantastic lineup of special musical guests who performed live during Tuesday night's conclusion.

How to Watch

Watch The Voice on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Those acts included Earth, Wind & Fire, Keith Urban, AJR, Tyla, and Season 25 coaches Dan + Shay (the show's first-ever Coaching duo). In particular, the Grammy-nominated Tyla — known for her work in the Amapiano Pop/R&B space — took the stage with a performance of "Water," a chart-topping hit from her upcoming debut album (on sale March 2024).

What to know about The Voice Season 24 finale singer Tyla

Born Tyla Laura Seethal in the South African capital of Johannesburg, the 21-year-old artist grew up in a musically-rich environment fostered along by her parents, who would often play Aaliyah, Boyz II Men, Michael Jackson, Mi Casa, and Rihanna in their home.

Seethal dreamed of becoming a professional singer-songwriter, but initially failed to gain a foothold in the industry, despite numerous online appeals to a plethora of music professionals. She nearly gave up on that artistic ambition to pursue a degree in engineering when her talents caught the attention of a manager wanting to represent her.

“I’d love to be that pop star, especially that type of role model for other African artists because we have amazing, huge artists, but we need more people born in Africa to take that spot,"  the artist writes on her official website. "When I was younger, I obviously had the dream to be the biggest pop star, but it’s not something that happens every day for an African artist.”

Since 2019, she has released six singles: "Getting Late" (ft. Kooldrink), "Overdue" (ft. DJ Lag and Kooldrink), "To Last," "Been Thinking," "Girl Next Door" (ft. Ayra Starr), and "Water."

Netflix's South African series Blood & Water used "Overdue" in the soundtrack for its second season. "Water," which enjoys prominent placement on Tyla's first studio album (aptly-titled Tyla), nabbed the No. 10 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart last month, "making her the highest-charting African female solo act of all time," according to OkayAfrica.

“With ‘Water,’ I just wanted a summer song that everybody could vibe to and have fun to,” she explained during an interview with Rolling Stone. “The meaning of the song is frisky: It’s me letting a guy know, ‘Show me what you got to offer. I’m done with all the talk.’ Men will just talk and talk and talk.”

Tyla made her American television debut in November with a performance of "Water" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Tyla Performs "Truth or Dare" and "Water" on The Voice Season 24 Finale

The breakout pop and R&B sensation Tyla performed two of her biggest hits, "Truth or Dare" and "Water," live on The Voice's Season 24 finale, flanked by a crew of back-up dancers for part of the set, and eventually transitioning to a full-on water feature (or at least the illusion of one) on the Voice stage.
