Which The Voice Artists are going to the Live Shows?
Team Niall
Coach Niall Horan had a hard choice ahead of him when he had to send half of his team to the Live Shows — and the other half back home. Alexa Wildish, Julia Roome, and Claudia B. sadly did not make the cut. But these three Artists did:
Huntley the towering, swaggering rock-leaning singer who got a Four-Chair Turn way back in his Blind Audition, was the first Artist that Horan announced would be making it to the Live Shows, following his performance of David Kushner’s “Daylight” during the Playoffs.
“He’s a machine on stage and an unbelievable performer,” Horan said of Huntley. “There’s not many voices like his. There’s a real spot for him in our industry.”
Nini Iris, the singer who made it to the Live Show round of her native country Georgia’s version of The Voice before moving to the United States in 2012, was the second singer Horan named. Iris sang “River” by Bishop Briggs, and Horan said Iris “knows exactly who she is. She can win this whole thing.”
Like Huntley, Iris also got a Four-Chair Turn in her Blind Audition.

Finally, there was Mara Justine, another Four-Chair-Turn Contestant who belted out Florence & The Machine’s “You’ve Got the Love” during the Playoffs. “Mara’s perfect for the Live Shows because of the energy she brings,” said Horan, who stole Justine from Team Legend during the Knockouts. “The control — the quality of her voice — is so exciting for this competition."
Team Gwen
Stefani had a stacked team going into the Playoffs: Tanner Massey, Rudi, Stee, BIAS, Kara Tenae, and for her Super Save Artist, she chose Lennon VanderDoes.
Ultimately, she picked these three to head into the Live Shows: Tanner Massey, BIAS, and Kara Tenae.
"I think that BIAS is so authentic and knows who he is," Stefani said. "He's an amazing singer. I think he's country and country and country."
On why she picked Massey, Stefani said, "Tanner has so much range and he has so much power. Being able to help him grow as an Artist is something that I just thrive off of. I had to put him into the Lives and see what he could do."
And while speaking about Tenae, Stefani remarked, "I picked Kara because she really knows how to handle the stage, she knows what songs suit her, and she just seems super ready for that moment."
Team Reba
McEntire entered the Playoffs with six top-shelf singers: Jacquie Roar, Tom Nitti, Noah Spencer, Ruby Leigh, Jordan Rainer, and Ms. Monét, her Super Save Artist.
After performing their hearts out, McEntire picked Jacquie Roar, Ruby Leigh, and Jordan Rainer to advance to the Live Shows.
"Jordan deserves to be on the Live Show," McEntire said. "From the very first moment she stepped on the stage singing 'Fancy,' I knew. America is going to fall in love with Jordan, as we all have."
On Roar, McEntire said, "Jacquie came on tonight. What excites me about Jacquie in the Live Shows is she's a show dog, and she's gonna be a contender."
And while discussing Leigh, McEntire said, "There's nobody like Ruby in the competition," McEntire said. "She's got that real sweet emotional cry in her voice that... it rips my heart. She's bringing something that I've never seen on The Voice before."
Team Legend
Legend's Top 6 Artists competing in the Playoffs were all incredible: Kaylee Shimizu, Lila Forde, Kristen Brown , Mac Royals, Taylor Deneen, and AZÁN, his Super Save Artist. It was a tough elimination, but Legend ultimately went with Lila Forde, Mac Royals, and AZÁN for the Live Shows.
"I can't stop raving about Mac," Legend said about Royals. "I really want to hear his record, I want to see him on the biggest stages. I feel like R&B needs Mac."
On Forde, Legend gushed, "I chose Lila because she's been magical every single round. No one else like her in the competition."
But the real Cinderella story of the night was AZÁN, who was previously eliminated but came back as a Super Save — and scored a spot in the Lives.
"My Super Save AZÁN rose to the occasion and gave her best performance yet," Legend said. "I had to reward her by putting her into the Lives."
