Soffer actually appeared on Chicago Fire as Halstead before Chicago P.D. 

Chi-Hards everywhere: Upstead is back... kind of.

For years, Chi-Hards relied on the detective's rugged charm and moral certitude to whip Chicago into shape.

Soffer, who played Det. Jay Halstead from Seasons 1-10, returned directed Season 11's penultimate episode "Inventory".

These friends and co-stars really knocked this Adele singalong out of the park. 

The One Chicago alum looked overjoyed to share the moment with his former co-stars.
