Tracy Spiridakos Shared the Funniest Update About Her Dog Nala: See Pics
The Chicago P.D. star, who plays Det. Hailey Upton, is a devoted dog mama.
Chicago P.D. star Tracy Spiridakos (Hailey Upton) sure knows that dogs are a gal's best friend!
On August 13, Spiridakos posted the funniest snapshots of her playing fetch with her adorable pup Nala. In the photos, Spiridakos tossed a tennis ball in the air before zooming in on Nala's jaw wide open, totally determined to catch the toy.
"Nala is known for her gracefulness," Spiridakos humorously captioned the post.
A few days earlier, Spiridakos also shared a cute picture of the Rottweiler lying on a carpet and posing, looking up toward the camera with her big brown eyes.
"Nala keeps asking about you guys and wanted to say hello," Spiridakos adorably wrote.

This isn't been the only time Spiridakos has shown off Nala to the world. In March 2023, Spiridakos posted the sweetest selfie of her grinning ear to ear while Nala gave her a big smooch on the face. How sweet!
Spiridakos is so close with her pet, that she sometimes brings her onto the Chicago P.D. set, as evidenced by a July 2022 photo where she posted with the dog behind the scenes. "And we're back!" she wrote in a caption, marking the start of filming Season 10.

Nala may have been a comforting presence to Spiridakos while filming Season 10 of Chicago P.D., because Spiridakos's character Hailey Upton was going through a turbulent time. Upton's partner, Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), ghosted her after leaving for Bolivia.

In a January interview with Variety, Spiridakos opened up about how Upton is coping without Halstead.
“I think she’s going through the motions and she’s getting up, going to work and getting up, going to work, but there’s a lot of inner turmoil happening,” she told the outlet. “This ultimately will change her in some way, which I’m interested to see how. We’re still in the change. She finds out that he’s extended his stay and has that break down moment of having this hope and then all of a sudden, that’s gone. It’s the first time we see her break down since he’s left, since their goodbye. I think there’s gonna be some changes for her over the next little while.”
"On a personal level, I can imagine that there’s gonna be a part of her that shuts down emotionally. As far as a relationship and even getting close to people, I can see her being somebody that will keep people at a distance while she’s going through what she’s going through,” she added.
