Saturday Night Live has booked some fantastic musical guests this season, with folk-rock showstopper Brandi Carlile taking the stage for the highly-anticipated December 10th episode.

How to Watch

Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and Peacock, streaming next day on Peacock.

Joined by comic legends Steve Martin and Martin Short for her second SNL appearance, Carlile shined throughout her performances of "The Story" and "You and Me on the Rock."

Carlile left zero room for disappointment as she instantly charmed the SNL crowd with her jaw-dropping performances. Between the many laugh-packed sketches and Carlile's memorable performances, this episode is one of Season 48's finest. Check out Carlile's performances, below.

"The Story" (watch above)

Carlile gave a haunting performance of her 2007 love ballad "The Story," nodding to her early work while rocking out amid the twinkling holiday lights of studio 8H. Wearing a strikingly sleek blazer suit with red-and-black striped sequin lapels, Carlile and her band got lost in the lyrics before delivering a powerful mid-song instrumental break. Carlile head-banged while shredding it on the guitar, instantly captivating the audience.

Carlile turned up the cozy meter for her second performance at 30 Rock. Carlile looked lovely in a dazzling blue and black jacket for her performance, joined by the hit indie-pop duo Lucius. They transformed the stage to a full-on folk show for the upbeat love song, which has earned Carlile three Grammy nominations ahead of the 2023 ceremony.
